The Council of Ministers approved the Agreement that raises awareness of the Strategy for the Promotion of Alternative Energy Vehicles in Spain from 2014 to 2020. The Strategy is the result of inter-ministerial Working Group, with contributions from the Autonomous Communities, local authorities and major industry associations. It will enable the automobile and industrial equipment industry to be prepared for new key technologies, keeping Spain’s favorable position as world producer secure in the future.

  The Strategy includes 30 actions aimed at making Spain a country of reference in the alternative energy for transportation sector (electric, LPG, CNG, LNG, biofuels and hydrogen) to replace fossil fuels, favoring the industry linked to the automotive industry. Affected by this raise,the natural gas compressor manufacturer company will be effective.The 30 measures cover three areas: industrialization (of alternative energy vehicles and associated supply points), market (actions to boost demand including spreading and stimulus measures, to achieve a market that drives scale economies and supply), and infrastructure (measures to promote a network that meets mobility needs of users).

  Furthermore, in line with the object and scope of Directive 2014/94/EU on the implementation of infrastructure for alternative fuels, and with the future Framework of Action for the implementation of necessary infrastructure, this Strategy for the Promotion of Alternative Energies Vehicles makes an initial estimate of the national fleet development and the related infrastructure what by adopting the measures set out in this document, it would be achieved by 2020.
